You sound like you are probably one of those people who think biological males can have periods and get pregnant.

Xers are currently ruining their children

There were some Xer on here couple weeks back asking if he should contact and send money to his college kids friends parents that his kid was going on a trip with. Another was wondering to contact the dean or counselor for a second semester of academic probation.

It pains me to admit this, but those born between the late 70’s and mid 80’s are typically superior to everyone else in every way. It’s probably because their grandparents were all war heroes.

You're Gen X.

no. This is what literally made the term Xennial.... Gen X ends anywhere from 1978 to 1981 while millenials start from 1978 to 1981. read my previous post... someone born in 1984 had a very similar childhood as someone boen in 1974.

I would think GenX would mostly be the grandchildren of the WWII generation. I was. My grandfather was born in 1920 and was in WWII. My dad was born in 1949.

exactly my situation. dad was born in 49. born in 83. i know i fall into the millennial years, but remember a world before cell phones and internet.

but i also grew up extremely rural as a latch key kid. so i think that puts me more in the gen x camp than millenial.

If you grew up in the 80s you’re like 60 now which means you’re a boomer

Boomers are the hippie generation. They are the ones born in the mid to late 40’s up to early to mid 60’s. Gen X, which I’m in, was born mid 60’s to mid to late 80’s. Millennials were born mid to late 80’s up to the early 2000’s. Gen Z’s are currently still being born but are nearing the end of that generation.

As Gen X’ers, we are blessed to have the technical savvy of today, but the morality, spirituality, work ethics, grit, and common sense of our Grandfathers…. Mostly…. Well, enough of us to be in the majority anyways. We saw firsthand, and despise what the hippies and commies did to our country and economy when we were young vs how Reagan brought us back into prosperity with good, clean, conservative doctrine. We remember firsthand seeing where communism and socialism leads. We saw images of those poor Russian babishkas standing in breadlines a mile long in the cruel Russian winter, just to get a morsel to feed their kids. We saw firsthand the Berlin Wall being chipped away by people desperate to get to families they hadn’t seen in decades, and how they collapsed joyfully sobbing into each others arms when the wall fell. We remember the Cuban missle crisis and seeing the bodies of N Koreans left lying in the mud as a warning to others because they were shot trying desperately to cross over into S Korea to be free. We saw Lebanon firsthand and were there from the beginning of the Colombian cartels pouring drugs into our country. We knew what it was like before our culture got addicted to crack and heroine- and we know it was much, much better then.

These things and many more has shaped Gen X into what we are. We work, we fight, we learn, and we know BS when we hear it.

There has been discussion of “the Oregon Trail” micro generation, later described as Xenials, for damned near the last decade. Not sure how this is news to anyone. The turn of phrase “analog childhood, digital adulthood” has been repeated endlessly

some people are truly retarded. Look at all the GenXers saying Millennials have superiority complex and the next sentence saying Gen X are the last great generation.

I have done some thought on this and my conclusion is, Yes Millennials do have a sense of entitlement. But it is completely warranted.

When Boomers and GenXers had been in the work force for a decade, the generation above them was starting to retire and leave the work force. That made room for them to advance.

Nowadays that millennials have been in the workforce for 10-20 years.. The majority of the advanced positions are STILL held by Boomers.. They will not leave the work force, their parents at their age had been retired for 10-20 years.... So yea Millennials have a sense of entitlement because they should be climbing the ladder, but boomers wont leave.

My older brother is gen X. He is a hard worker and very successful.

He is also a huge communist lover and socialist supporter. He is surrounded by people coworkers friends etc who are just like him and I'm sure that doesn't help.

In the end it all really comes down to the individual.

Lol yeah congrats on being this way but this is a bunch of horseshite, you're in a bubble pal. Sadly Many MANY Gen Xers outside conservative areas are your typical hillary loving trump hating biden voting communism loving future bug eaters.

I love my brother and always will but I don't get it.

Maybe you missed this in my comment. And I’m sorry your brother missed the lessons most Gen X’ers learned.

I could be wrong but I do personally think that, as a whole, the latter part of millennials coupled with the upcoming generation will be the ones that will help bring this country back from the brink- if it doesn’t get destroyed first.
