Have a general surgeon you trust check things out. Better to have one of those remove it too.

Gallbladder does not require a trauma doctor. Any ER will stabilize you, and schedule an appt. with a general surgeon if you don't have one.

Hopefully OP has decided where to go by now.

Don’t think they have an ER. I’d go to the Lake. There are only 2 Level-1 Trauma Centers in LA and they are one of them.
Bluebonnet absolutely does. It’s where I went for mine.
OLOL now serves as the “Charity” role. Avoid

If you have insurance go to The General Bluebonnet. If you don’t go to OLOL.

The best ERs are the ones that treat gunshot wounds. So go to the charity one where all the thugs go to get mended after having a hole blown in them.

The BR General Emergency Room at 73 in Pville is only 12 minutes past Bluebonnet and it's never busy.
Yeah, don’t do this. If you need emergency surgery, you should go somewhere that has an OR on site. Stand alone ER’s are good to be seen fast, but any real emergencies requiring hospital admission will constitute a transfer that could add hours to your treatment.

I don't find this thread very acute at all.

Once when I didn't have insurance, I had an abcessed tooth that got so swollen that it looked like I had a golf ball in my cheek. Had to wait for 8 hours just to get an anti-biotic shot. I imagine that's what OLOL is like now.

Yup!! They don’t want to call a team in to do surgery unless you are dying. They’ll treat with a “digestive” cocktail, Rx meds for digestion and a referral for a surgeon. I had first and only gallbladder attack at 3 am after watching American Sniper at the theater in like 2015. Felt off and sick all evening then woke up with excruciating pain that I had never experienced. Thought heart attack or aortic tear. EKG said otherwise and ER (idiots) sent me home by 5-6 am. Consulted general surgery later and my gallbladder was fried and full of stones and sludge. Bile duct was 2-3x larger than normal. Had that sucker removed the next month! Funny part is I continue to produce stones and they like to get lodged and cause liver problems even after removal. Yayyyyy!!! But I’m a rare case. Good luck!!!

But if one were to insist on going to a stand-alone, go to BRGeneral stand-alone. They have their own ambulance service so the transfer to the hospital would be quicker.
But no, don’t go to a stand-alone ER for something you think will require surgery or hospitalization.
