I'm having to go on a cruise with SO and her crew. Where is the best place or site for pricing?

You'll get the best price directly from the cruise line 9 times out of 10. The internet has leveled the playing field for finding good prices in my experience.

you can try something like cruisecompete and get a bunch of travel agents that will sell group tickets.

This. Has anyone in your group cruised before? If so they can usually get a better rate for being a past passenger.

Cruisesonly

..and go out of some place like San Juan. It removes the cheap clientele.

You should have a good time despite what people on here say. Went on one earlier this year and had a great time.

Book through the cruise line then transfer booking to a Travel Agent who will offer you OBC (on board credit) depending on the total price of your cruise. I transferred my Alaskan cruise to them which already came with $300 OBC and the TA offered me another $375. Can't lose this way. You have 60 days to transfer the booking on most lines so you can shop your cruise around and see which TA will give you the best perks. Some may offer OBC, some may offer specialty dining, maybe a combination of both...who knows.

Just went on one out of San Juan this year. It didn't remove the cheap clientele.

Discount shopping cruises leads to a cruise you don't want to be on. Trust me...Bee there done that.

I tell you what, government me 300 bucks and I'll lock you in a trailer park and let you out every three days for an "excursion" . Voila, there's your cheap cruise.

Costa Concordia says "All Aboard!"

I'd recommend a port side cabin.

Norweigian has some great deals right now. Friends and family sail free (after two adults pay) free internet and some other stuff to choose from.

Trust me, none of that stuff is free. It is built into the price. Look at Carnival prices which usually has no perks and you will see what cruise fare is actually going for out of New Orleans. You still pay port fees, taxes and gratuities on those free passengers on NCL as well so the price is always a shock when you get to the end.
