Baw. Come talk to me. Grinders? If you are regularly replacing them. 100 is too much. I can find you a better deal than that. Unrelated to what I'm alluding to. How do you feel about metabo?

Hey I wasn't the one buying them,

One job I worked at, my buddy and his brother were the supervisors and they got into a little battle who could get the best tools for the shop, and I think Rigid won out, but I do remember Dewalt and Milwaukee grinders being nice and powerful, just never last long of daily use.

I've never used a metabo, but I have heard good things about them. Honestly, I think they are all made to go out in a year or two for the type of work I used to do, where I used them daily. For the home owner, I'm sure they will last much longer though. I would look for something that is lighter than the others and feels good and comfortable in the hands.

What model angle grinders are yall using? Only problem I've had with Milwaukee ones is the handle breaking off. If you're using them every day in an industrial application, you should know better than to get a regular one. Step it up to Metabo or Fein

I'm not sure which model they were, but my bosses were the ones buying them, so I really didn't care that they went out after a year, as they would just replace them. I'm pretty sure he got a good deal on them though, as he got like a 5 or so of them at a time.

Never heard of Fein, so they are good?

I like Milwaukee.I've seen a shop put them through a workout.

I like DeWalt also.

Has anyone used a "Right-Angle" Drill?

I bought the 20v impact and drill when they first came out. The drill is just a drill and I don't find anything special about it.

I'm sure it's been surpassed now since it was bought 5 years ago, but the impact is a bad mother

Milwaukee or Ridgid v12, they are small, lightweight but powerful enough. They also charge very quick, in about 30 minutes. The ridgids have a lifetime warranty on the batteries.

My Makita brushless Lithium 18v hammer drill charges its batteries in 55 minutes but they are 6.0 AH batteries.

When comparing run times and charge times you have to take into consideration the amp hours of the batteries.

I have two. I don't trust cordless hammer drills. I bought a little cordless Dewalt from HD for about $100. And then a plug in hammer drill from Harbor Freight for about $60. Both do great jobs for what I use them for.

But then again there's no such thing as a 20v either

Edit to add...Milwaukee makes a 28 volt hammer drill now, but the battery must weigh a ton.

Got the Dewalt 20v max driver/drill set about a year ago at lowes for I think around $200. I haven't been disappointed at all. The battery seems like it last forever. The driver comes in really handy for lots of things and the batteries are interchangeable. So if my drill battery ever did start getting low, I could just take the battery from my driver and use it. Also, I really like the different speed and torque adjustment on the drill.

Bosch made a 36 volt. I'm told from one of my customers this is the best drill he has ever bought.

Bump

Home Depot has some good options now. Running specials online where you can get a free tool if you buy one of their kits. Most of them appear to be a drill/impact driver combo kit and you can pick from a grinder, blower, router, etc as your free tool.

Bought a Dewalt and had to change the bushings in a year. Luckily it was still under warranty.

Im not reading through 4 pages.
I had the rigid 18v drill driver combo. I used it a lot when repairing termite damage. I reframed my diningroom floor and walls using 3 and 3 1/2 inch construction screws.

Rigid has a lifetime warranty if you register.

Both went swimming in the flood now i have 20v dewalt combo.

I would recommend rigid and dewalt.

As far as hammer drill, i have a corded rigid and the only time i use it is for drilling brick or concrete.
