New to Metairie. Just paid $600 for a front brake job. Surely there is a reasonable place around here that does decent work? Recommdations?

Mayeaux's Quality Car Care. It's next to the causeway bridge.

I always go to Allen’s Automotive, he even knocks off 10% if you pay cash and is one of a few honest mechanics I’ve dealt with.

Bonura Auto Service..Get the owner not the one of the long bearded assholes. The owner really is a great guy..told me exactly what was wrong and it was not the most expensive thing.

Not Metairie, but fairly close. There's a service station on the corner of Carrollton and Banks run by a guy named Mark and he's been there for a few decades now. Reasonable prices for his work and very good at it to boot.

He also sells non-ethanol gas if you need that for anything like lawn equipment, pressure washers, etc.

The last work he did for me was changing out tie rods on the front of my Chevy P/U, changed out the rotors and pads and did an alignment and out the door was $710 cash.

I did already have the rotors and pads, so that wasn't in the price.
