Did Vanellis ever open back up?
The gin is a big further back. There's a group of houses and a set of townhouses behind city hall. I think a bank opened up there too recently. Haven't been in a few months since I moved to Nashville. I heard Vanellis was going to open back up in a new location. I think the old lot is for sale. Haven't heard anything new since.

I'm considering going there this weekend while in Chicago. I'm a huge fan of Company Burger with Cowbell being a close second. I pretty much compare every burger to Company Burger.
Au Cheval is the real deal...the single is actually a double and the double is a triple. get the hash browns
instead of fries there. Great beer selection too.
Not sure when you are going, but I'd get there about 15-20 minutes before they open for lunch to get a spot for the first seating. Otherwise, maybe try to catch it at off-peak hours (3-4pm or late night).
