For almost 300 bucks, I better get a good morning handjob with that cup of coffee.

Shame on you for dissing SO Ethiopian.
Not dissing, but I haven't gotten that far into coffee yet. I've been reading online and people take they're coffee seriously... Some almost insanely so
Maybe I'll graduate to SO at some point, but for now I'd just like a decent maker.
Which Bonavita? I've read the 1901 has a better design. Also seeing the Bonavita Metropolitan gets good reviews and its about $70 on Amazon.

Bunn for reasons already given. You won’t regret it. It’s a workhorse that can more than handle your daily intake. Whatever you get make sure it has a thermal carafe.

Technivorn Moccamaster
I was looking at those, but many people recommend the Bonavita over the TV Moccamaster and it's less than half the cost.
It does look like a nice machine though and I've blown $300+ on worse stuff

Just get a Jura Z6 and call it a day

Bonavita BV1900TD
This one. I have it and it works great.
As someone mentioned above, the technivorm is way overrated.
You don't need to get crazy with coffee, but you can find affordable specialty coffee that's delicious. Washed Ethiopia is my favorite, but I love most origins.

We've used a Bunn A-10 for over a decade. Great, well made machine.

Breville Youbrew. Whatever you come up with, grinding your own beans makes a world of difference.

Want a regular drip coffee maker and not a chemex, pourover etc as I may drink 4-5 10oz cups a morning, and don't feel like having the hassle of that.
I'm going to recommend a pourover if you have the scratch - the Bunn CW series and specifically the model that delivers directly to a thermal carafe with no burner.
Best drip coffee machine ever, IMHO.
Webstaurantstore link, but you can also get it at Amazon. You will need a thermal carafe, sold separately.

I like the ability to make espresso shots or ice brew as well.

Get the cheapest Mr Coffee, about $20 I think
Posted on 6/1/18 at 5:51 am to Got Heeem
Yeah, I have the bonavita machine and it is a great and simple coffee maker.

I’ve been very pleased with our Bonavita. Simple, effective and consistent.

get a phased brewer that heats all the water to temp and then floods the grind.
its as close to a pour over as a automatic can get.
id say get the Bunn phased brewer, but they dont make it anymore.

I'm partial to my Ninja Coffee Bar. I've had a bunch of different kinds. Quality of water makes a difference too.

My wife got me the Ninja Coffee Bar CF086. It's been pretty bad arse so far. You can brew anything from a cup to a carafe. It's nice.
Heard it makes good coffee when it's working. Several friends had one and each one broke before a year.

Bunns aren't SCA approved. I'd stay away. Doesn't mean they aren't good, but you can get better.
