That is EXACTLY what I've been told for years from family once I moved back home.

But it was me and not someone else.

I'd be interested in your story too. Never thought I'd hear of someone going through something quite like that.

I remember telling my mother about her before I agreed to see her and she told me in the most concerned way, "Run, and don't look back son". My dumb self ran to. I didn't listen.

First it was to protect my well-being as they weren't 100% sure of who dunnit until later that day. His brother was able to expose him and colloborate their information.

Later it became about protecting her image.

There were many people who still knew that worked with her and people at my work knew. I couldn't work for a week and my employer was very kind and thoughtful the entire time.

Then I found out he had family connected to cartels. ICE came in and busted it all up. His act of murder caused his entire family to be deported and others arrested.

He then later hung himself in the summer or early fall of that same year in prison. Their daughter ended up in foster care just like her mom. Circle came back around and she will never know about her mom or dad. Her grandparents were junkies on meth. Their daughter was a successful nurse who made it in the world and overcame all the odds to be successful

It is a gawd damn shame she is dead. The whole thing was a tragedy for everyone in the community.
