Very interesting, but will they sign the petition?

I don't know. You're guess is as good as any.
I think some will. I think most will be apathetic. I think some are pro Teedy as they don't want to see a black woman removed from office no matter how inept.
Hopefully there will be enough signatures to make it happen. Need to show the apathetic that N.O. can be a better place for all law abiding citizens regardless of race, creed, religion, etc...

Not sure but those numbers are very interesting. I was shocked to see them.
They will still need at least 80k-100k signatures to get 54k verified legit signatures to count,
but either way, the message is being sent.

A 20% error rate would only required around 65,000 signatures for the 53,000 required. They don't need 80-100K.

I added a little for duplicates and invalid voters.
But I hope your right.

I agree. Unless she performs some miracles, her future in politics should end with her current position.

They need to man a stand next to the CDC parking lot for people responding to a summons for jury duty.
If you are an Orleans parish resident and show up when called for jury duty, odds are you are signing the petition.

I don't think she had a future after this position, recall or not.
The Peterson seat will probably be filled even if she would run for it.

The fact of the matter is, she’s not getting elected to another damn thing. She’s damaged goods and better start preparing for her life after politics. She survived re-election because no one with any type of energy ran against her. I’d say I drive around the city a decent bit, even the not so great areas, and if I saw three Latoya signs I saw plenty.

Hopefully she goes to jail

Will Sutton: Cantrell recall will peter out -- unless we want to see another Black woman mayor fail.

Another? How many black women mayors are failing? Has Will stopped to ponder why so many black female mayors fail?

I saw something on IG that suggest this isn't accurate. It also looks like there are some people turning on her. There are obviously still some that seem to defend her, but not as many as she once had.

Also from Sutton; "I’ve seen a sea of White people signing the recall petition, along with a few Black people."

There haven't been any updates since they took the number down last week. I assume they haven't hit whatever they consider to be a milestone.
