There are shitty cops out there. This happens to not be one them. His actions were completely justified. In most, if not all of the high profile cases in the last year or so, the cops were totally right. The ones who were persecuted were victims of a failed system.
We don't know if the cops were totally right or not

She wasn't a distraction on her phone? Using emoticons doesn't strengthen your post

The student wasn't teaching the class. The teacher should of been able to ignore her and address the student after class. Teachers and the public schools are trash and ready kids for prison better than they due for learning how to succeed as an adult

it was a great chance for the class to learn about the legal system, the constitution, and how to handle a police officer.
instead the cop used excessive force and all they learned was that police brutality is a very real and unfortunate thing.

I betcha she is one of the ones in the near future demanding $15+ an hour to flip burgers.
Why would she? She's about to get paid big time.

I heard some caller on WWL this morning say they should have left her alone because her grandmaw died a few months ago and her mom died after that. Does that give her the right to act like an arse, disrupt class, ignore teachers, admins, and the cops. These kids are doing exactly what they are taught at home and in the streets. We need a Purge!

The vast majority of cops are thugs. It's what the job /system attracts.

It isn't the teachers job to teach them "succeed as an adult." They are there to teach their class. Yes I know the next point you will make is deadlines, testing knowledge, etc. Those are skills learned by cooperating and doing as instructed. If a kid wants to be a dipshit that is their right. Just have them take gym all day so they can prepare for their life of physical labor or voting for a living.

we need a purge.. to get rid of shitty cops like the one in this video. and shitty teachers.

This is why the shitty schools of America stay shitty. Those ghetto schools do it to themselves because the culture there is designed to fail.

It is the teachers job to teach them the skills needed to succeed at life. Otherwise why have school? The teacher obviously wasn't taught patience or how to ignore problematic students. she would of not called for help.

No, she's in the wrong for her behavior and should have been dealt with, but in a more peaceful manner.
You realize 2 people can be wrong in a situation. It doesn't have to be 100% for one side or another.
The difference is that she's a kid, and he's supposed to be a professional officer and show better restraint and judgement.

If some girl browsing on her phone is distracting you that bad, you're probably a shitty student anyway

Public schools as a whole are designed to fail

So the kid that has trouble in that class but is trying their best doesn't matter?
