Nuh-uh, the OT tells me you're 100% behind the upstanding man of the law or you're a pussy social justice warrior liberal who is exactly responsible for the disrespect high school students of this generation display to authority

So the kid that has trouble in that class but is trying their best doesn't matter
of course they do. But paying attention to a girl browsing on her phone in her desk instead of your teacher sounds like a weak excuse

Our country is getting everything it deserves. You can read into that whatever you want. Either way, we're fricked.

Not an excuse I just remember some kids really trying and still barely passing. They shouldn't have to focus through anything other than the lesson.

The teacher should of been able to ignore her and address the student after class.

allowing the girl to "win" by ignoring her as opposed to making her listen to the teacher and be respectful is why so many of these kids are the way they are. I feel bad that no one is teaching them better at home. If my son takes out a phone in class then refuses to listen to the teacher, what happened at school would be minor to what happens at home.

No, she's in the wrong for her behavior and should have been dealt with, but in a more peaceful manner.

How or what? She was told by two school officials and ignored them. Then told by an officer again. Then told she was under arrest. Then hit him. What else are they suppose to do. I guess I look at the world a whole lot differently than some. Not being taught respect and how to follow rules are why kids are so screwed up. Don't follow rules, there's going to be consequences.

how about this -- let her decision (to be on a phone and not paying attention in class) actually impact her life. she won't get good grades, won't go to school, and will enjoy working retail for the rest of her life.

seems entirely better than having an officer get physical with her because your ego is sore. professionals should check their egos at the door.. especially when they're professionals that carry weapons and are allowed to use them

"Hit him"

If you don't follow your teachers rules, the punishment is not an arse beating by cop. It's always the small-government types that want a big military and a big police force

Not grab her by the back of the hair and toss her around when she was zero threat to anyone physically

Which can be assigned by a court of law and the school system.

Once again, he's a professional and needs to show professionalism and restraint. It isn't his job to hand out the consequences.

He escalated the situation. He should be able to restrain a school girl without that much force, especially when she isn't a physical threat

They were telling her to leave. She could have gotten up and out the class and go home with a suspension.

That cop did nothing wrong. He should have flung the bitch some more and then smacked that sub human that was filming him. The way this is going pretty soon cops just won't give a frick and won't respond to calls. I know I wouldn't. Next time you have a burglar, murderer coming at you, handle it yourself.

Then get fired. IDGAF. One less shite cop in the world -- good riddance. Cops nation wide are finally getting their due. But thanks for pointing out the general attitude of the police. Golden example.

I'll drop out of this because obviously we look at things completely different. I would never have dreamed of not following my teacher's instructions. And neither will my son.

Had that been my son, my response would be, well after you stupidity pulled out your phone and then didn't listen to the teacher the first time, what happens after that is your fault. It's called responsibility, respect and accountability. But I guess I'm the screwed up one.

Let's entertain a hypothetical situation:

A cop is sitting down in a room. A man tells him to get out of his chair. The cop tells him to frick off. The man walks up, grabs the cop around the neck, and flips the desk sending cop sprawling to the floor. The cop reaches for his gun and shoots his attacker. Is this a justified shooting?

I would certainly say it is.

You call the cop a retard which is totally one of those words you liberals shouldn't say but what percentage of the poor victims demographic test below the "retard" as you say level of knowledge?

You are the true racist. You need to get your cracker white arse put in your place.

I've already said the girl was in the wrong for her actions. I don't know how to make that any clearer.

CSB. Her actions do not give the cop free reign to do whatever he wants.

They both were in the wrong. It is that simple.
