This...

As a 30+ year motorcyclist, I can tell you one of the 1st realities you have to embrace is that any traffic "situation" you may find yourself in is situation you will lose!

i'll bite...

I'm a "cyclist".. Just got back from a quick 10 mile lunch spin in fact.

That being said, I obey traffic laws because i'm smart enough to understand a 2000lb vehicle wins every time.

i don't agree with uppity cyclist who think they own the road, likewise for mouth breathing drivers.

I think this has less to do with the mode of transportation and more about the driver/rider. Cars run red lights all the time.

The problem some bikers have is they dont obey traffic laws(video is prime example)

But.........at the same time they claim they are entitled to the same rights to the road as any other vehicle.

So what do you do after work? Go home and watch TV until it's time for bed?

Try one of these on for size...I bet you'd like it.

I still don't understand why bicyclists need to wear tights. Can't you just wear normal clothes to ride a bicycle?

Too bad the cyclist was able to walk away. Why do those fricks think traffic laws don't apply to them?

Jesus dude.

She looks like a kid who wasn’t paying attention. Why would you wish that on anybody?

Let this be a lesson. Your dopey toys aren't for riding in the street.

Yeah, that's what it looks like to me. This didn't look like the typical biker douche running stop signs / red lights because he/she doesn't feel like stopping. It seemed like she wasn't paying attention to the light and was just following the traffic ahead of her, which led to a big mistake that could have cost her life.

Funny thing about the video is there are 3 vehicle infractions or examples of dangerous/douchey driving. The cyclist probably doesn't stand a chance on a green light either.

I have had this conversation/debate with bikers many times, and always amazed that bikers can’t grasp the concept of, “no matter who is right or wrong in an accident involving a vehicle and a bike, the biker always loses, always...”
Lesson: always take a defensive position and assume the vehicle doesn’t see you and is out to hit you...
NEVER assume the road is your’s...

That is supposed to happen to dumbass cyclists that can't obey the law.
Watch the light next time.

2 rules for bike riders:
1) Don't force a car to slow down when they have the rightaway in order to not hit you
2) Don't force cars to change their speed or pathway, putting their own drivers in more danger, in order to get around you

Agree on this. I never ride on a street where I know that I will be disrupting the normal flow or speed of traffic. I know that bikes have a right to be in the lane but it's just a dick move. Plan a better route.

If you're not riding defensively and you're running red lights much less rolling through stop signs, I have no sympathy.

I work with a cyclist that brags about going on these “group rides” where they’ll block intersections to let the group through. So imagine you got a green light but this asswipe is blocking you so 50 cyclists can run the light!
