Probably all small towns with any early century industrialization had or still has beautiful old homes. Bogalusa has several that have been kept up. Then there's the ones that weren't kept up.

This Farmerville House(The Old Baughman House) was on the market for around $400K. I haven't heard if it sold yet.

It's beautiful but it must be a maintenance nightmare.

Surprisingly, Winnfield has a few. These are the best preserved. There are some others that are either in crappy neighborhoods or poorly maintained.

I toured that home with my late Grandmother while it was being renovated. It brought back many good memories of her childhood in Union Parish. She was the daughter of a farmer and that home was a point of pride for the community.

Just looking on Zillow, Houma has several 8000 sq ft + monstrosities on the market.

Natchez is full of these kinds of homes. People mostly come to Natchez to visit the cluster of plantations in the small area. But a lot of the "old cotton money" Antebellum homes are inhabited and impressive. They open up many of them for tours during the Pilgrimages in Fall and Spring.
Here's a few of them.
