Beagles are runners, and extremely difficult to catch. I have a puggle, a pug and beagle mix. Still a runner as a young dog, but such a sweet girl. I had 3 kids, and she was the best. They are adults, and she is now old, but she still will stop for small kids and love on them-- they love kids, and are very gentle with them. She does shed a bit when the seasons change, but it's manageable. I would not trade her for the world. She no longer runs because she's overweight, and has arthritis. The Nearest breeder is in Keller, Texas. They are $1200.00.

Probably the owner because ours is far from it. Doesn’t take her long to learn anything.

We have a mini golden and as much as I make fun of our mutt, because she is a mutt, she’s pretty danged smart, loyal, and obedient. Loves to hunt rabbit and squirrel. We would walk her with our neighbors Brittanys and she would stop but not quiet point with them. The only negative Is she can be overly protective of certain items but comes in handy with my daughters and wife. and when we take her out chasing rabbits or squirrels in the woods, the spurs or briars get tangled in her hair. But that doesn’t stop her.

She rides at my feet on the seadoo and will hang tight with me on a paddleboard. She like to ride with me on a longboard skateboard. If you get them out and active, it’s a perfect size companion dog and smart.

Careful on the mini goldendoodle. Ours was supposed to be a mini...and he's 50 lbs.

A neighbor in my subdivision has a mini goldendoodle.

He rides a bike around the neighborhood while the dog is on a lead 1-2x a day to wear it out. He said if he doesn't the dog is a maniac indoors.

They are pretty high energy be sure you have the time.

Ours is finally starting to calm down at almost 4 years old.
