Impact zone in waller. You get vetted pretty well to join probably because there is no RSO out there and they expect you to not be an idiot.

When I go to Hot Wells I cringe at what I see going on there. I know I’m average and and I have no illusions otherwise but the. I see those who are below average.

We were laughing at work yesterday at a guy that shot himself in penis. Also happens to their arse. Lololol
I do have one in the car when traveling and in the house. Never had to reach for it.

I agree, in that situation you are not looking for a pretty grouping. You are just looking to primarily de escalate the situation and if not stop the aggressor while giving yourself and those around you as much protection from you and the aggressor as possible.

Have the appendix holster in a junk drawer. The clip that goes over your belt prints way too much and it puts the grip right under my last rib. Uncomfortable as frick. I need to find a good Kydex and call it done.

I use an Incog G-Code Kydex- IWB.

I have attended multiple defensive handgun classes that include protecting yourself from being disarmed, and shooting drill that had me drawing from various positions including seated, laying down, close quarters, and grappling.

I've shot through car windows, done room sweeping drills, and fired numerous accuracy drills. I would recommend them to anyone who plans to carry.

Try the Comp-Tac Minotaur. You will forget you are wearing anything. Sometimes I have to reach down to make sure it's there and I carry a full frame pistol.

I cc but have never had to use it. The only times I’ve pulled it from it’s holster to fire is at the range 2-3 times a month. I hope it stays that way.

Some would call that being proactive

I recommend a knife if you like it up close and personal.

Sounds like some quality training. It takes effort, but getting that done is always a positive. I wish NRA would establish more courses with LEO or security orgs to train civilians better handling methods for concealed carriers.

Nothing worse than seeing someone with a concealed weapon who fumbles his draw.

You either do or you don't.

You have to wake up everyday prepared to take a life if you get to that point.

That’s classic. My standard response is I can’t help you but if you find someone that can let me know so I can hit them up too.

Been carrying a long time. Never once have reached for it. It did allow me to be a bit more aggressive in a couple of semi-hairy situations that... I feel... was a subtle hint to a couple of people they needed to find someone else to frick with. FYI was at a gas station on I-10 on the East side of Lake Charles late one night.

It’s just me but I never want to be out of choices and at the complete mercy of some thug. I like a second option for me and my family.

Any gas station off of I-10 in Lake Charles is in the hood

Just having it in my car has helped me before. I become a pansey when I'm carrying because I take extreme measures to avoid confrontation. I usually leave it at home

My alien is in a drawer too.

I use a Q series minimalist "holster".

I know it'll be frowned upon, but it's been so long since I've carried in holster on my person. Mostly because of being thin and the clothes I usually wear weren't conducive to carrying especially in summer. I always have one in the car when I travel and of course the house, but I probably won't renew my permit when it expires as you don't need one to have it in your car. I also take it for granted that I have never been in a situation at all in life where I needed to draw a firearm on someone. I try my best to position myself situationally where the odds of needing it are quite low. I don't go to gas stations at night, don't go to bars, or walk in bad areas. As much as road rage is prevalent in the south, I refrain from honking or tailgating just to prove a point.

Kel Tec 32.
I also carry Sabre Red pepper gel.

Two times in the past 10 years I simply lifted my shirt to expose my weapon to avoid confrontations so yeah, it’s been worth it. The 21 foot rule is your friend.

The Ruger LCP in 380 is a perfect little pocket gun. Yes I know it’s not a 45, but in certain situations clothing wise it’s an option.
