Yeah I'll never get that, having a wife at home I want nothing more than to be in my own bed everynight with the fam... Such a weird badge of honor some people so desperately seek to have. Lmao

Sad that Trump is deporting hardworking Mexicans when we have all these lazy email job havers that hate America

Sounds like a bunch of front-liners having to work more because they are not good enough to work their way into management.

Likewise, all of my European/Oversea colleagues were pretty much nonexistent since the beginning of December. Still basically nonexistent, so this week is quiet on my end..

I work an embarrasingly little amout of time in a year. Last year it was about 8 weeks. Luckily this year things are picking up and I'll probably add 4 days a month to that total.
I have a micro peen when it comes to these contests.

Not really a flex, more so trying to show the baws it's possible to live life without giving your entire life to a company

Some said that there would be some dick measuring going on here?
Posted on 1/6/25 at 12:19 pm to LakeCharlesPirate
you are not wrong about anything you said and yes, life is short so make the most of it besides work. I am curious though, how people can feel good about taking a month off of work and not feel worried about being replaced. I mean if the company can manage without you for a month, what is to say they need you at all?

Nobody cares, take time off for yourself and your family. Hangout for a while and relax and spend time with those close to ya. I promise people won't be talking about how much you worked when you die. Idk just my opinion. Lol

The older I get the more I see work as a waste of life. I'm 52. Been working since I was 14..

Ehhh, i feel better about taking a month off vacation then having absolutely no personal/family time. The company implements the vacation accruals and how we can take it, so as long as I stay within those parameters then I don't feel bad. 11 months prior to the vacation time I work and do all they ask of me, so I fell like taking my vacation is a fair tradeoff for the 11 months I give them before that. Also, if I have to micromanage my people, then I ultimately haven't set them up for success. As far as being replaced, obviously it's not anywhere near impossible for them to replace me, but with the addition of responsibilities and taking over more areas, I think it has become evident to my employer that I'm an asset and not just another slapdick. This is all my opinion and outlook and has worked for me
