Pro's / Con's?

Is it easy to get gains out of?

My next car will have one in it next year. Similar the the M3's turbo inline six.

90% certain BMW doesn't do NA's anymore. Gave me a sad face.

Hence E36

I have the last year they built a NA M3. Still stock but would be a dream track car with what you can do with it.

Nope. I got the last one though. Know how to change a cover gasket?

I may with this car. Toyota is building a track in Denton. Should be ready about the same time the car is released in 2019.

Sounds fantastic and has great gas mileage considering it's a god damned rocket. Never driven anything like it before. Next M3 motor will be based off of it and it should be incredibly stout with a closed deck block design and forged internals.

I laughed when you included hydraulic steering because there's quite a bit of BMW baws still upset about going away from that.

The Supra engine will be coded A90 but it's a modified B58 with a different tune. Just trying to estimate how much extra love this car will need considering it will have BMW internals.

The internals won’t be a problem at all and you can tune them with JB4 to 400+ easy.

With BMW motors it’s the plastic bits that go around 10 years or so that get annoying. Like having to replace the valve cover itself and the cooling system because they’re all plastic and degrade.

There’s a PDF out there describing the differences beteeen previous version N55 compared to B58 if you’re seriously interested.

You snap any bolts? I need a more sensitive torque wrench.

I'm estimating 5-6 hours, but this'll be my first job of this nature. I won't have transportation once I start unbolting shite...so I have to have everything ready.

Recommend a shop manual (brand)?

I know I should replace other stuff while I'm at it...9 yr old car...what?

The 2jz isn't coming back. Just like the 4G63 went away with the EVO.

Let it go.
