Why are my gun so lazy? They haven't shot anybody. What is wrong with my guns?
I’ve often wondered that myself. This past Saturday we went to my brother’s property and had a family day on his shooting range. And while I noticed my firearms were very responsive, unless I made them do something, they just sat there and did absolutely nothing.
What’s worse, when we got home I had to clean all of them myself. Not a damned one of them made even a minimum effort to clean themselves up.
Lazy bastards.

That link is 'firewalled' here at the work pc. Please tell me there was some logical qualifier he added to this? He wouldn't have said this 10 years ago.

Birmingham Police confirmed nine people were shot and one was killed Saturday night in two shootings following the Magic City Classic at Legion Field.
Birmingham Fire & Rescue Service responded. The fire department transported seven victims to the hospital. The victims ranged in age from 19 to 30. Five were in stable condition, and two were listed in critical condition.
Six people were injured in the first shooting, and three were injured in the second shooting.
It is unclear if the shootings are related.
An unidentified 17-year-old was taken into custody, but Mayor Randall Woodfin said police are still working to identify all those involved.
Police are asking those with video from the shooting to submit it anonymously online.

Woodfin said the Magic City Classic has an 85-year history as a family-friendly event. He asked the public not to allow the shooting to mischaracterize the popular game between Alabama A&M and Alabama State University.
"I want to make this promise: we will not retreat from our history," Woodfin said during a press conference. "We will not retreat from our history. We will not apologize for our culture, and we will not turn our backs on the institutions and traditions that have contributed so much to this city and our communities."
Woodfin said gun violence is a nationwide issue and asked the public not to place blame in the wrong places.
"When we talk about culture and gun violence, let's be very clear. America has a gun violence problem," Woodfin said. "I want to bring it home to the city of Birmingham. You see, in any tragic moment, we have a choice. We can point fingers at each other. We can get on our soapbox and go away with our fingers, with our dissertations and our opinions and we can blame everybody in the world except the shooter, which doesn't make sense. The shooter is responsible. The shooters are responsible. That's who we have our attention on to bring and hold them accountable."
"We have another choice, and it's the choice I choose, and it's the choice I would encourage all of the citizens of Birmingham to choose, not necessarily the bigots who don't live in our city with their opinions," Woodfin continued. "We need to be united."

The Birmingham City Council released a lengthy statement saying the Magic City Classic weekend should've been a celebration of unity, culture and opportunity. They said the shooting was a tragedy, not only for the life lost but also for the person who pulled the trigger.
The council offered condolences to affected families and friends.
