The fan bases take pride in playing at Legion Field. If they played at Protective, they’d just be bringing the bullshite into downtown Birmingham.

The tailgating for the Magic City Classic is like a festival and is a big part of the whole thing. Protective Stadium doesn’t really have the parking lot capacity for that.

That makes sense but Legion Field is a complete shite hole surrounded by crime. I had several black colleagues I talked to this week who were not going to the game out of fear of something like this happening. It’s a shame but it’s predictable.

They should ban tailgating at this game or you pay a $10 to $20 admission to get on property. May or may not help, but free shite brings them out.
