It's fine. No protests in that area.
Try the Londoner.

If it is near I-12 or North of I-12 it is sketchy.
If she is closer to Airline Hwy she is ok.
St. Thomas More area is fine.
Blvd De Province is shite....as is north of Florida Blvd.

You could go into The Triple S food mart where Alston Sterling was shot during the day and be fine. I'm white and worked about a block away for five years. I ate at all the local joints and never had a problem. After 5:00 that would be a different story but just about anywhere in BR is safe during the day.

North of 12 but south of Florida is Vietnamese. South of I-12 is mostly white. North of Florida is hood.

Sherwood south of Florida is fine. Lots of traffic closer to I-12 and again at Airline.
No clue what the protester dynamic brings to the area though. Obviously stay away from them.

However, I'm from SWLA and am not terribly familiar with BR area given the current situation. My S/O is traveling to BR for a test next week, location is off of S Sherwood Forest Blvd.
I think I took the GMAT in some testing center off Sherwood. I don't think there's any protests going on out there. Leave the house early because traffic in Baton Rouge is mostly bad during rush hour.

The good reverend has to know he can't win here. That protest ran into the perfect storm of south Louisiana July weather, a population (black and white) that is sick of felons like Sterling committing crimes and a police force that isn't fricking around.
I suspect if he does show up, he'll be gone in no time.
