The historic homicide maps put the vast majority of homicides in NBR. The general area around the Exxon plant and the curve of 110 account for a lot of them.

Thanks for the history lesson. I have lived here for 40 years give or take a couple. I was more asking about the claim of 11-0 since the election.

I don't feel like looking this up. Is it accurate?

100% accurate. Going back to 2018, there were 87 homicides in EBR. 1....ONE....was in the StG area. About 75 were within city limits of BR and north of I-10.

I want to know the 10 people dumb enough to take their POST certification and go work for BRPD. Unless you have no other options, take that shite to a department not led by a moron like Paul.

Paul has simply issued a statement this time.

Now let's have the conversation.

No, it's been 4-0 in the last 6 days but it's been 11-0 going back to the Oct. 12th election when StG won.

Gary Chambers has had the solution to curbing the murder rate in Baton Rouge all this time, but no one will listen.

Two of these murders happened within 500 yds of each other. If they’re not related...DAMN!

There will be retaliatory murders in the coming weeks. Guess I'll stay out of Brookstown. No Dixie Maid for me

That’s even worse if you do it in meters.

What are the chances crack cocaine or heroin was involved in these homicides

Crack and marijuana are ruling the streets
They rolling them both together and they’re calling them geeks
But yo, it’s up to you, what you like
Some choose to smoke geeks, some like to hit the pipe

Probably drug related.

I hate to sound heartless but I'm kind of numb to murders that happen in areas of the city that I'm unlikely to ever be in. I know every year there's going to be 60-110 of them with no end in sight. When there's a shooting on Jones Creek it gets me concerned.

Eastgate has some shootings and isn’t too far from that area

Occasionally I guess. That little neighborhood is surprisingly fairly quiet from a crime standpoint. It's mostly a lower middle working class neighborhood.

I know we don't have a ton of crime in Woodland Ridge other than occasional vehicle burglaries. Hopefully it stays that way because we enjoy the location.

The murder of that middle-aged white lady in Tara Boulevard was very disconcerting. That case went completely cold.

I think that was in Sherwood unless we are talking about different murders.

Even though BR is a dangerous city I feel like your odds are pretty good about not becoming a crime statistic if you don't live a certain lifestyle. Exceptions like that are concerning.

They can just close the file on these.

They need to worry about more important things like hosting community event days to help reduce crime. Lol.
