(UNDATED) - A recent study ranks Baton Rouge as the No. 13 most stressed city in America.
The WalletHub study was done prior to the events the Capital City has dealt with over the past two weeks.
Two Louisiana cities ranked in the top 10 on the list. Shreveport is No. 6 and New Orleans is No. 8.
Analysts looked at 27 factors, ranging from average work hours to debt load to divorce and suicide rates, to determine the list.
The report found Baton Rouge has the fewest psychologists per capita in the US. The city also ranked low in the areas of coping with stress and family-related stress.
The study determined Detroit is the most stressed city, while Fremont, CA, is the least stressed.

Food, beer, football, baseball, and fishing... seems to work fine for most.

Yea
. I don't know anyone that wants to sit around and talk about their feelings, we cope by drinking.

Yeah, gridlock traffic at 1:30 on a Wednesday will do that to a city.

You could argue football is the leader to the stress in this area. Especially a Les lead offense.

Meh, it doesn't hit me until monday morning. I roll my saturday drinking into Saints pregame to avoid being overly exuberant or exhausted by Saturday's outcome.

Traffic
That's kind of my feeling to. It seems most of the bitching I hear people do is about traffic. I don't really ever come across many people that are stressed from family issues or work. Of course it does happen, but I don't find it to be any more than other places I've lived.

If you notice, there's a racial component to this "study."
These pseudo studies are usually based on social elements that may appear important to someone stuck in a cubicle in SJW city.

Didn't a recent study say Shreveport was the happiest city in the country?

People underestimate the profound effect their daily commute has on their mood. A shitty commute can negate the benefits of a great job.

I thought it was Lafayette for 2 or 3 years straight.

Traffic, or crowds in general. Waiting in lines is stressful.
