Plenty of non-white people have been involved in mass shootings. The Orlando guy wasn't white, the San Bernardino shooters weren't white, George Zimmerman wasn't white, ect ect. I think we as a society jump to race too quickly. All policemen and women are not trained equally, come from the same background, and/or have the same stress triggers. There are other answers to why this cop fired incorrectly (if he did, the video does look bad for said cop) such as crappy training, the inability to handle stressful situations, or he made a fatal mistake. None of those explanations make this any less of a tragedy, but are just as possible a motive as just being racist.

To be fair, I'm not a minority. That being said, I've also been treated like crap by multiple officers for various reasons, the most of which for driving late at night/early morning on Fridays and Saturdays for work (although they would pull me over for garbage reasons just to see if I was drinking/pad their stats).

I disagree. Their job is dangerous, and if that means they treat me sternly, so be it.
