I also cringe when I'm at a bar or something and someone drunk guy is carrying on about thanking a guy for his service and buying him drinks and shite. Like the dude just wants to have some beers and drink in peace without all shite. But again, I'm not in the service, so maybe they don't mind that sort of thing.
Agreed - I've had a couple of buddies pull that move and I'm feeling awkward as frick. IMO it's almost like they do that to make themselves feel good more than they do it to be nice to the cop or the servicemen

Eh some people don't mind. Some feel entitled to it and those people suck.
I'm just doing a job just like anyone else so why should I get special treatment?

Yeah, I mean, being a public servant is a very noble thing, bit, I agree I think that's how I'd feel if I was one, that I was getting paid to a job I signed up for.

I'm sorry, but I can't help but laugh. Dude is bleeding out, cop is screaming... and she's calm enough to FB stream it.
Don't know what else to say.
Clarence Carter's Strokin' - The Po-lice came and shined his light on me.

I used to live in a small town when I was in high school. We noticed how the local cops would always make a run through either Popeyes,Dairyqueen, Burgerking or Faustos. I asked around if the police got a reduced rate. According to my pimply faced sources, they got a 50% discount. The donuts were free though. Like someone said earlier: it's an investment.

That cop is a candy arse bitch - I don't see how anybody can deny it.
He's acting like a scared 5 year old even as the guy he shot is oozing life and the woman and little girl are 5 times more calm and reasonable than his panicky arse

Yup, that's pretty common. On the flip side, it's hard for regular patrol officers to make time to eat healthy, which sucks and which is why fast food is the food of choice. The discount is just a perk for most.

DeQuincy is such a shithole town. Props to the boys in blue though who always gave our bus an escort to the parish line when we played over.
ETA: Also props to Faustos for our post game food anywhere we traveled.

Why wait?
Cop: You got anything in the car I should know about?
Dead guy: weed and a gun, but..
Cop: (interrupting) where's the gun? Don't move.
Dead guy: *moves quickly to likely pull out permit*
Cop: Shoots.
95% likely chance.

It is probably 99% likely that the officer was severely undertrained and incapable of remaining calm during a traffic stop involving a gun that presumably was declared. Officer was probably on edge and mistook any movement - quick or otherwise - as a threat and killed him.
It is also incredibly likely that he'll get off because the burden of proof for "fearing your life" is so incredibly low.
At some point police officers need to take some personal responsibility for their inability to navigate situations without using deadly force. Just because you can doesn't mean you should.

Love how the officer watches him die and doesn't even try to administer any kind of first aid to the innocent man he shot and subsequently killed.
That troubled me as well. If you've shot a person, first aid should be the first action, not keeping your pistol aimed at the victim and the young child in the car.
Hearing the kid console her mom nearly got me.

Not insecure at all.
I have my paperwork, I communicate with LEO's if I am ever stopped. I don't see why this is a sign of insecurity. I carry a sidearm pretty much everywhere I go but I fail to see how you view me as insecure. It is my right to do so and I exercise it. The ones kept in the vehicles are actually for the wife as she does not carry on her person. They have only ever seen the shooting range.
