Madison is probably nicer than anyplace in LA. (why did you move? )
I will be back in Madison at some point, however being in Brandon, financially, is a much better option right now for a young family.

Lived there for a few years. It sucked arse. Traffic was dogshit, my car got broken into multiple times, multiple cops were killed near my apartment after a week of protests because of a child molester. I lived 4 miles from my job and on several occasions it took multiple HOURS to get back to my place.
I'm good with never living there ever again. Usually I get nostalgic about places I've lived over the years, but BR is the only one that I thank God that it's over.

MRA was always the school that was never good enough to compete with JA or Prep (academically and athletics) and always took the guys that weren’t able to compete athletically at Madison Central and Northwest Rankin

I lived there 4 years during my LSU days. I miss it to the point where I’m driving over there tomorrow from South Texas. I need a Spring Break getaway and driving to LA is about as safe I can do. Granted, going to NO for a day exposes me to a bit more
With that said, BR always got the shite end of the stick in reputation. I lived in Kenilworth and never had any issues. I didn’t venture north of Florida at all.

Isn’t the east side of this street pretty rough? Broadmoor area and Sherwood...have those undergone change at all or still going downhill?

Yes they rough but good tacos and liberty lagoon

I may cruise around the town outside of LSU just to see how it’s changed. I may need to be like that YouTuber that sets up his dash cam and drives through ghettos

Some of the bigger issues I have with it personally are that it's all flatland and no mountains. . I love the food, people, and LSU culture. Despite my disagreements with some politicians, I do hope they fix the LSU lakes up, continue to grow mid city, and let St George do its thing and quit wasting taxpayers money on this absolutely unnecessary and unwarranted law suit.

if the trash was just picked up off side of road it would be nicer. Theres been a tire and dead dog on shoulder of 110 for 2 weeks.so get out and pick it up bitch
We incarcerate more people than any other state, why don't we make them pick it up? And I don't litter so I'm definitely not picking up Kafka's dog that he through out the car door on the interstate like the trash he is...

I don't know of any 4 mile stretch that would take hours
I commute 4-5 miles to work in BR and it's rarely more than a 15-20 minute drive.

Lived near Reservoir from 87-96, loved it. Kids went to NW Rankin, good school not great back then. Travel through often and it's grown so much I barely recognize it now. Originally from BR, live in St. George now. Come visit again when you can. You might change your mind about certain areas.

Everything on the OT is exaggerated. Just stay out of NBR and the handful of shithole neighborhoods in the south part of the city, such as those named after presidents, states, Indians, girls, cars, and artists, and you'll be fine.
Slowly but surely we are getting to a point where this will be the checklist of what to avoid in BR:
1) Everything north of Florida Blvd.
2) Everything south of Florida Blvd.
3) Florida Blvd.
