Baton Rouge: Drive in from west

I am a proud Louisianan. We split time in LA and TX. I drove in to LA yesterday.
I have ripped the dilapidated, weathered and trash-debris filled appearance that Baton Rouge beams eastbound entry from the BR bridge. This includes the Capitol building, sound walls and concrete walls dividing I-10, and overpass bridges.
Have to say I’m seeing movement towards better:
The Capitol building is wrapped it scaffolding that is long overdue. Look forward to seeing it birth a clean looking government building centerpiece to be proud of in our state.
The College St overpass now has temp railing in place for presumably repair.
Some new looking sound walls are showing up.
And, my fav, the PI Attorney advertising signs, what was the only bright colored and well lit thing in backdrop of dilapidation, is down to 1 PI Attorney ad (eastbound anyways), from 4. Suppose private equity may have role here cutting budgets but will take it. Their overlord presence now diluted.
May it be a watershed moment!
Pun intended.

If you think the Interstate needed attention, you might not want to get to ground level to the Presidential Skreets…..

My favorite part about driving in from the west is looking over to the right at Tiger Stadium. It looks enormous with the addition of the south end zone upper deck. Quite an attractive display for our university.
