As of 9:30 this morning, EBR sits at 20 cases. At least 400 tests were run in Baton Rouge this past Monday & Tuesday, and more on Wednesday. Are any of these results reflected in this morning’s numbers posted by LDOH?

LDH

LDH updates at 9:30
Shows EBR with 20 cases

Edit
Are you asking how many pending test results there are?
That would be good info but I doubt they will release it

Many but not all of the Monday numbers are in. I don’t know about the Tuesday numbers though.

This pisses me off more than anything else right now. The lack of testing results, or detail of, makes it impossible to tell what the trend is. You can't even find a historical plot for Louisiana. Just the "scare map".

If LDH doesn't start reporting useful information soon people are going to start ignoring it and going about their normal routines.

My guess is that it is a mix. The state labs have been reported to have a 48hr turn around. Private labs take longer.

I do know that Baton Rouge is short on test. I know someone who went to the hospital for a high fever and got tested for strep, mono, and the flu. All three came back negative. Doctor said they didn't have any covid test, and to come back if they started to have trouble breathing.

Just wondering when this will be reflected in the EBR numbers, because the numbers suggest just the opposite at present.

It is pretty much doubling every 2 days or so, that is rapid spreading in my book

Just like the stock market or any other graph , you don’t focus on one or 2 data points but the trend and the trend is up

I have a better chance of getting shot and killed in Baton Rouge than I do of dying from this virus

And a much better chance in the coming weeks when people really start going crazy with the lock downs, but that don’t change the rate of increase in cases of the virus

0.00448161% of EBR is affected by this. You're right this is out of control, let's close up everything

The bad part is you still don't know who might have it and who doesn't. I mean if you go to the grocery store you have zero clue that the person near you has it. Kinda scary.....but they are letting people in and scrounging for items if need

58 per 1.0 million people in the US are reported to have it. You’re probably ok to go to the store.

I would say 100% of the US is affected by this, a much smaller % infected by this

But anyway you do what you need to, as for me I will take care of me and mine

I wish when they reported 20 cases, they would report 600 people were tested last Mon Tues and Wed and the majority of those results are not currently reported. I wish they would also report that many who should have been tested were not tested because of limited tests. At this point, people should be “scaredl into complying with the social distancing. I know some morons who don’t think it’s necessary to comply because they seem to think it’s a New Orleans thing and really isn’t prevalent here. The fact of the matter is it is and the other thing is for every person who is abiding by the lockdown/stay home, you have 10 people who aren’t.

Depends how backed up they are where testing is being performed.
