Jambalaya shoppe is boring.

The best Jambalayas around here aren’t found in restaurants. They are found on back porches and at tailgates and big gatherings.

I'll bite because I'm honestly confused now. What is creole and cajun cuisine? Where?

One of the most overrated places in town. The past two times I've been there have been shite.

Now, if you want a list of legit BR restaurants, I'll be happy to provide one.

The best food in Baton Rouge is the breakfast buffet at the cook hotel on LSU campus.

Haven't done the first. Paul prudhomme was French leaning creole when it suited him. Way too refined to be Cajun.

Cajun cooking is survival food. Goodness born out of necessity.

It's embarrassing that recruits hear about "seafood, gumbo & jambalaya" and there is none edible anywhere near them. As a matter of fact, recruits are introduced to Louisiana culture by going to Texas De Brazil. Shameful.

New Orleans isn't Cajun country by any stretch, but I can pull up 100 plus restaurants in an instant that have more flavor than any one restaurant in BR. Stop borrowing prestige from cities with taste buds.

How do you find time to eat food with New Orleans’s dick in your mouth all the time?

Nola= Creole not Cajun

Lafayette is where the true cajun cooking is. Instead of going to a glamorous restaurant go to a hole in the wall mom and pop shop that makes plate lunches. That is the true cooking

people are confused because you keep spouting off “Cajun” and “Creole” and really sounds like you don’t know how to differentiate between the two.

Your decision to go to the jambalaya shoppe is a pretty clear indicator of how much you know about either cuisine.
