You just got downvoted by 3 of his cult members.

WTF? Is this supposed to be feelings and beliefs?

I’m not big on boycotting things but it’s not about hurt feelings. It’s about not supporting someone that is actively against you. At the same time if I already paid for something it would be stupid to destroy it.

Boycotts are virtue signalling.
Calling on others to affect their shopping through the public square? Or broadcasting your purchase/non-purchase publicly?
It is all virtue signalling.
Quietly choosing one product over another for any reason? No biggie. People like to buy from sales people that they like. They like to buy products that make themselves feel good about the purchase. No biggie. That's life.
It is the incessant need to use social media, the internet, or media to announce/denounce where our society sounds like a bunch of cry-babies.

You should really check out Adam Smith’s The Theory of Moral Sentiments. It’s the other half of his word-changing pitch for free markets. And it argues that everything you just said is dumb af.

You don't need more than that and yeah, they're real frickin' dumb.

Worrying how other people spend their money is pretty fricking stupid too.

That said, if you're going to allow one polarizing individual to dictate what you sell, be prepared for a lot of Americans to tell you to EAD.
They're not allowing "one polarizing person" to dictate what the sell. Not even close. The market dictates what they sell and Nike knows it's market. This is how clueless and out of touch the "hate Kaepernick" crowd really is.
What people have to come to terms with is that Colin Kaepernick is a folk hero and part of a larger social movement to the market Nike wants to reach. They're perfectly fine giving up a very small minority of people to reach it.
Nobody in mass quantities is telling Nike to eat a dick. Far fricking from it and Nike knows this. They're not in bed with colin Kaepernick out of principle, they don't have any. They're in bed with him because extensive market studies have shown it's good for business.
Nike knows that every white male over 30 and every middle aged white conservative who says he won't buy Nike shite anymore is largely full of shite. Especially when their kids want it for Christmas or whatever else.
All of this has been studied to death. Colin Kaepernick sells shoes and fricking lots of them.

People should do what they feel is right not most convenient in life.
Having peace of mind is far more important than some convenience product or slightly better product.
Simple as that. I’ve boycotted Starbucks for over 20 years for multiple reasons including their shitty coffee. Not a day goes by that I regret it. If a friend really wants to go their; i don’t bitch at them and say no. I’ll go and simply get a free cup of water. It costs Starbucks for the cup and me nothing.
To each their own, but I’d rather have peace of mind over a slightly better product.

Then I guess the lunch counter protests were wrong and we should let government or corporate censorship control what products are available.

I agree except for homo loving Gillette and racist America hating Nike.
