Didn't really expect him to reply.

Might as well ban those "shoulder things that go up" as well while random things are getting banned.

Just shows how ignorant some people are.

We all would have panicked. And it's really impossible to say how each one of us would have reacted. There's way too many variables. How many drinks have you had? Where are you standing in relation to the shooter? Do you try and help your friends escape?

I don't know enough about guns one way or another to say otherwise. But I do think a basic question should be "Can this gun let of 30 rounds in 10 seconds" or some absurd amont of firing no one needs and then ban those.

Same thing I said in the other thread. It is fricked up to make a politically charged thread immediately after an attack like this. POS.

I agree and it amazes me that democrats always launch into gun control every time this happens. Our president did it again today just like he always does. I think it is pathetic.

Would you say it is a better situation than what just happened in Orlando?

so here is what happens if you let people carry in a nightclub-

fights that normally end in a bloody nose instead get escalated into someone drawing a gun. so instead of orlando incident with 50 people dead, only 35 may have died, however there deficit in fatalities in that incident are more then made up for by shootings in other incidents that wouldn't have occurred had people not been allowed to carry in a night club.

I love my guns and don't think this incident is about gun control, but anyone trying to argue that carrying should be legal in a nightclub is fricking insane.

No one is calling for people to be able to carry in bars. The point is that criminals break then.aw and mass shootings happen in "gun free" zones.

Again, there are states that allow this now and they haven't turned into the Wild West.

Many people seem to be making incorrect assumptions about the type of person who gets a concealed carry permit.

Why does anyone need a gun of this caliber unless you're in a war zone. I don't give a shite about handguns, shotguns, and rifles, but when it comes to the people who think these assault weapons should be legal:

These assault rifles (AR-15) are not large caliber, FWIW. Most deer rifles... .270, 30-06, etc are larger caliber, so your point makes no sense.

He admitted that he doesn't know anything about firearms already.

No customer in a bar should ever bring a gun. Period. People that are drunk and/or high can't even control their minds and bodies, let alone a gun. If you don't agree with that, then you're an ignorant idiot.

Have you been reading this thread at all or remember the Paris threads? Tons of idiots who post here are calling for it.

I just don't want guns being legal that can put off a certain number of rounds during a certain amount of time. I've never been infatuated with guns, but I can fathom that being able to put out 3 or 4 bullets per second is fricking ridiculous and should be illegal to carry around a fire arm of such capability, especially with a large magazine. Just because I don't know much about engineering a train means I don't know what I'm talking about in making a train that goes 300 MPH and what that would mean to the average citizen.

Ironic you calling someone ignorant in that post.

Do you think concealed weapons permit holders are allowed to drink alcohol while carrying in those establishments?

Do some research and get back to us.

What about cars that far exceed any posted speed limits? More people die in those that due to guns. Should they be illegal?

Most people that are using a gun for protection would prefer to have less ammunition at their disposal. This is the reason that law enforcement doesn't use guns with high capacity magazines.

A police officer defending himself can use a high capacity Glock, however a private citizen can't? Pshaw.
