It’s always been Fred’s that I remember.
Sports Illustrated was next door mid 80’s.

I started LSU in 1982 spring.
It was Fred’s and Barnes then. That was the first semester that Fred’s was open. Barnes changed to Sports Illustrated after one year I believe.

Freddy Pou. He owned several bars. Vietnam era Green Beret. Only about 5-5, but a scary dude. Believe it or not, he had a degree in interior design.
