Maybe you should start an adults only airline and see how it works out

It could be like a return to the old days of flying. No one allowed to fly in their pjs. All the flight attendants (whether male or female) are attractive. Bigger seats. Adults only.

Business men who travel on a frequent basis would flock to such an airline in a heartbeat. I'm sure many would even gladly pay a little bit more for airfare as well for it.

Also...wouldn't picking up the child, wrestling to get them out of their seat, while they are kicking and screaming just make the child more agitated?

shite happens...it isn't always about you. Sometimes life makes things inconvenient for you. Suck it up, but some headphones on, and just be glad you are not that parent in that moment.

Why is it anyone else's problem that the parent is unable to control their child? That sounds like a personal problem.

Why should I have to "suck it up" that your child is uncontrollable?

Why should I have to buy headphones or other gear because your child is uncontrollable?

Why wont you take responsibility as a parent and cram your fat arse into that bathroom with your screaming brat and calm it down?

Well by your "logic," you'll be complaining again like a baby when you have to go take a piss mid flight and there's a mom in there trying to quiet her kid.

ETA You're 0-the century in this thread.

No, that's not logic. It's understood that people have to use the bathroom for private, personal reasons. I may not like that I have to wait, but it's an understood part of society that restrooms will be occupied.

The upvote to downvote ratio of my posts as compared to yours suggest otherwise.

And I haven't downvoted a single post of yours in this thread. Keep swinging for the fences, mighty Casey.

Are you suggesting that upvotes determine whether or not a post is based on logic and reason?

Your initial OP certainly is not based on logic or reason.
What are you, 19?

Nope. Its all about the parents being able to do what they want. Just as if they never had kids, even though they do. Flying, Super Bowl parties, football stadiums. Just drag those little frickers everywhere. To hell with everyone else- including the baby. It's all about mom and dad.

But don't call them selfish

No it's based on if people agree or disagree with what either of us are saying. Surely you can't be that dumb.

Ok, first off, there are more folk on the plane than just you. That alone puts you into a situation where you have to interact with others. You may not want to, but as soon as you purchased the ticket you did so.

Second, the notion that a parent can just "quiet" their child by hauling them to the coffin sized bathroom is not feasible. Seriously, you must not have kids because you would know this.

Third, airlines are more inclined to "allow" babies/small kids to act up. they usually don't pose a problem. On the other hand, adults who act up are usually doing so because of some outside influence, booze, making a statement, pissed that they're traveling and airlines don't cotton to that. Neither do air marshals.

I don't think you are going to get your way, but it's your right to complain and bitch. You'll most likely continue to do so as long as you keep flying.
