I'm not sure. It's not as high as Auburn's.

This country has really upped the “trashy” factor in the last few years.
The "_____ acceptance" of modern philosophy really sucks. Youre expected to respect everyone in "marginalized groups" regardless of merit.

I do not have kids. I am not too far outside of college myself.
That’s good that your kids are working hard. Keep up the good work. Sounds like you raised them right.
There’s a larger symptom now, though, where kids are taught that if they do not go to college they are some kind of failure, at least that is what I have observed. The result is that parents spend large sums, or students take out large loans and end up working at Starbucks. I guess this is a larger symptom of the middle class being hollowed out. Has globalization/offshoring really helped anyone?
If/when I have kids, I will see to it that they can go to college if they are there to learn.

Are you complaining that the college you are sending your kid to has too many police officers?
No but 92 full time cops for a college campus seems like a lot.
quote:
And you want them to model their police system more like ones in Louisiana?
No. The LSU reference is because this is a Louisiana based website. Simmer down.

And you are surprised that a colleges biggest problems are drugs and violence?
No.
quote:
We’re you expecting them to say the biggest law related issues were murders and jaywalking?
No. You MFers will try to argue about anything.

This whole paragraph has me really confused.
Yes you are.

Just showing the youngsters how to act in a college classroom.

LOL, had to look that up. If I'd started off with that the response would've been "pics?" or you're a creep for looking at young firm arse cheeks on womenz.
Most of these guys can't read past the first sentence.

The day my son goes to college will be super strange. I’m sure the wife will cry for days. He’ll be a Jr, but I know the time is going fly by. Hopefully he doesn’t go too far away.

It’s very bittersweet. Mine went to LSU and I am about 10 min away from her so it’s not like she was very far away. But it is weird going home that night and she wasn’t there. I cried a little but also I was so excited for her to begin this new chapter in her life.

I went two years ago, so my husband went this time

LSU is not in the cards for my son, but that would have been nice. Bittersweet is a good term…insane when they choose a tough path and you just have to hope for the best. If you can’t believe in them who will?

He’s really hoping to get another offer before school starts, we shall see.

Yes normal people like doing stuff like this with their kids. And there is a parent part of this whole process

Parents go to college orientation? My folks helped me move in but that was it. Can’t imagine what the point of college orientation is for parents. Maybe more understandable if you have a daughter I guess? My dad didn’t give two fricks.

Instead they had a Q&A with student volunteers - five fat black girls. So I got DEI'd anyway.
So you came on here to bitch about how trashy and disrespectful the world is, and then proceed to trash the people actually trying to better the world. I am guessing you aren't in the group you think you are in.

My mother went into a deep depression when I left for college. I didn't know about it until years later.
