An eagle would have to paralyze it. Bobcats are vicious as hell and also strong for their weight. Not 40lbs but a solid 25.

Stop throwing the eagle catches bobcat by surprise in this. The whole point is both animals know the other is there before they fight. Bobcat wins and eats on the eagle for the next 5 days.

Yeah, I'm going eagle.

There would be a lot more feathers flying around than fur.
An eagle couldn't fly off with a full grown bobcat.

Umm, and eagle could rip its throat out easily with those talons. Going down would at least stun it, and then the eagle would kill it.

I've been seeing bald eagles getting owned by crows in my hood lately. Losing faith that my favorite bird isn't the ultimate savage.

the eagle has the advantage with flight and the high ground. Especially if that eagle's name is Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Maul had the high ground and lost....

Eagle doesn't have to fly off with the bobcat. Look at the picture of the talons mid page one. One strike on the back of the bobcat pierces vital organs and drops a lung instantly. Also a great chance of piercing the spinal cord of the cat.

Have any of you tried to give a 6 pound cat a bath? If that fricker violently does not want a bath, you will regret the living shite out of the outcome. My bet is on the bobcat.

Maybe, if element of surprise. But birds can find themselves on the defensive real quick, and I suspect bobcat causes eagle to find easier quarry, after a go or two.
