How can any business owner think that’s a good idea for business in 2023?

Out there in looney tunes land, you know people were coming in saying “ I’m so glad you’ve still got the mask mandate going.. so many people just don’t care anymore”

Absolute virtue signal sign

I give her family a ton of credit for supporting restorative justice in her case.

This is exactly how the dysfunction gets passed from generation to generation.

I will not be upset when harm comes to those who are incapable or refuse to try to understand how society functions.

If this is followed up with the belief that her friends/family have the right to seek their own version of justice against her killers without police intervention, then I’m not saying I agree with her, but I get it. Somehow I don’t think that was the angle she was getting at though.

I guess let’s see if the Oakland police follow through on her wishes.

Unfortunately, for her and her family she is not the only concerned party in all of this. There's a reason we don't allow victims and families to choose not to press charges in cases of violent crime. They are not the only people who can be impacted by the actions of such pieces of shite. The community at large is at risk from these types, and the sunshine and rainbows this woman chose, and her family still chooses, to embrace doesn't mean shite.

The ironic part is that she probably at one time or another, led a parade to espouse for abortion. Child murder ok. Locking up actual hardened criminals? No way.

They should not waste their time with this.
They need to move on and help someone or someone's family that wants their help.

The Oakland DA has promised a SWIFT release of the perpetrators as soon as they are located and arrested.

Alanis Morissette's "Isn't it Ironic" came to mind while reading this for some odd reason.

Jennifer Angel, 48, founded Angel Cakes bakery in Oakland in 2008. Prior to that, she was a publisher of what she described as 'radical, progressive' magazines and a publicist for authors.

On Monday, Angel was leaving her car in front of a bank in uptown Oakland when two robbers smashed her car window and ran off with her belongings, her fiance Ocean Mottley said.

She then went after the robbers' getaway car, catching up with it but getting trapped in its door and being dragged over 50 feet. Her head was crushed on the sidewalk and the car drove away.

On the plus side, it appears she was pretty fast.

OK, have not read the entire thread.

But if she was so forgiving of the people that robbed her, why did she chase after the robber's car, which was what ultimately killed her?

She could just say... Yeah, these people robbed me, but I'm not going to call the police or anything. She would still be alive, post her cool story, and will get 10x the GoFundMe return for the stuff the robbers took.

But she actively went after them, got caught on their car door, got dragged, and got her skull smashed.
