After the terrorist attack Twin Pines Mall becomes Lone Pine Mall.
When Marty goes back in time he runs over one of the trees in 1955 so there’s only one tree growing there now. The mall is already called that before the gunmen show up. It has nothing to do with the Mooslims.

Oh. Well, this is inappropriate.

The opposite of "believing what you're told" is not "believing far-fetched horseshite just cuz."
And yes, the OP is far fetched horseshite. So are the Simpsons "revelations."
The Lone Gunmen episode is kind of creepy mostly because it was so close to the incident, however, the plot fits directly into the Lone Gunmen/X-Files mythos, and the WTC was already known as a target bc of the 1993 attack on it and the known hard-on that Al Qaeda/KSM had for it.
Ideas about "predictive Programming" and complex government conspiracy theories betray an obvious ignorance as to how government works. Believe me, you are giving people way too much credit.
There were people in government, or who worked with government, who predicted something akin to 9-11 happening soon who were ignored and/or laughed at. That is how government actually works.

That's just shitty writing. Why must we assume they'd still name the mall after the one tree? Come on Zemeckis.

The mall is called Twin Pines before the attack, and then Lone Pines after. That should be the central focus, especially when we get three 9/11 references in that scene.
Yes, Marty hitting the one pine is the reason within the movie for the change in name.
Couple this with the two pines that turn into the actual twin towers as they collapse in a later scene and it's more than just a happenstance.

Government isn't government on this level.
The shite-arse DMV didn't plan 911.
The US government didn't plan 911.
A deeply intertwined and covert international network was responsible.

Very good stuff there.
On a real note: the beams weren't melted. At least the majority of the building was not melted. It was turned to dust. It was essentially vaporized.
This is the fact that is deeply guarded with disinformation groups like Architects and Engineers for 911 truth who represent a false 'truther' movement.

No, I'm referring to the group of people that presidents have openly referred to throughout history.
I'm talking about the gangster group that turned WW1 into a blood bath that should have ended rather quickly and peacefully when German U-Boats had its enemies starving and without ammo. Instead, this group pulled the US into the war through media propaganda techniques - fake news.
Some of the biggest men in the United States, in the field of commerce and manufacture, are afraid of somebody, are afraid of something. They know that there is a power somewhere so organized, so subtle, so watchful, so interlocked, so complete, so pervasive, that they had better not speak above their breath when they speak in condemnation of it. - Woodrow Wilson
Al Quaeda was/is a CIA/Mossad/M16 subsidiary.

TRANSCRIPT: On the morning of September 11, 2001, 19 men armed with boxcutters directed by a man on dialysis in a cave fortress halfway around the world using a satellite phone and a laptop directed the most sophisticated penetration of the most heavily-defended airspace in the world, overpowering the passengers and the military combat-trained pilots on 4 commercial aircraft before flying those planes wildly off course for over an hour without being molested by a single fighter interceptor.
These 19 hijackers, devout religious fundamentalists who liked to drink alcohol, snort cocaine, and live with pink-haired strippers, managed to knock down 3 buildings with 2 planes in New York, while in Washington a pilot who couldn’t handle a single engine Cessna was able to fly a 757 in an 8,000 foot descending 270 degree corskscrew turn to come exactly level with the ground, hitting the Pentagon in the budget analyst office where DoD staffers were working on the mystery of the 2.3 trillion dollars that Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld had announced “missing” from the Pentagon’s coffers in a press conference the day before, on September 10, 2001.

While discussing the “terrorist” Morpheus...
quote:
The Roman poet Ovid states in his Metamorphoses that Morpheus is a son of Hypnos and reports that he had a thousand siblings, with Morpheus, Phobetor and Phantasos being merely the most prominent among them.[2] Robert Burton, in his 1621 Anatomy of Melancholy, refers to Classical depictions of Morpheus, saying "Philostaratus paints [Morpheus] in a white and black coat, with a horn and ivory box full of dreams, of the same colours, to signify good and bad".[3] Starting in the medieval period, the name Morpheus began to stand generally for the god of dreams or of sleep.[4] In Carl Michael Bellman's Fredman's Epistle No. 72, "Glimmande nymf", Morpheus is invoked as the god of sleep.[5]

No. They didn't. Taking quotes about contemporaneous events out context and fitting them into a paranoid ideology is nothing new nor impressive.

No. They didn't.
The Germans, dealing with mutinies and horrible morale, were desperate to knock the UK out of the war and gambled they could do it with unrestricted submarine warfare before the US could effectively mobilize. They lost the gamble. British propagandists did indeed fan whatever flames they could, but they did not cause anything.
quote:
Since I entered politics, I have chiefly had men's views confided to me privately. They know that America is not a place of which it can be said, as it used to be, that a man may choose his own calling and pursue it just as far as his abilities enable him to pursue it; because to-day, if he enters certain fields, there are organizations which will use means against him that will prevent his building up a business which they do not want to have built up; organizations that will see to it that the ground is cut from under him and the markets shut against him. For if he begins to sell to certain retail dealers, to any retail dealers, the monopoly will refuse to sell to those dealers, and those dealers, afraid, will not buy the new man's wares.- Woodrow Wilson
There. FIFY- the full quote- which is specifically about monopolies in the context of its original work.

You're getting sleepy.
Not going to do the quote snipe-fest with someone who's deeply set in their mindset. No skin off my back if you do or don't have a clue.
