where are you leaving from? airport?

you'd be looking at $4-500 per person for flight more than likely

The keys would be too expensive unless you drove and everyone crashed at one place. That's one hell of a drive, though.

I think a drive back to Louisiana from the keys after 3 days of hard partying would make me contemplate suicide

Somewhere in Florida on the east coast (Miami) or Key West would be more suitable during that time. It's not peak season and might get a decent deal.

Did Orange Beach last March and was overall enjoyable. Stayed in a big condo right next to Florabama.

Charleston is also a good spot

I am going to have to plan one this summer. I am not the best man, but the best man doesn't drink. His idea of a party would be to get together and cook. Which is cool and all but not what my friend needs. I am thinking likely vegas. Maybe a cabin in the mountains with lots of LSD.

Vegas really prices a lot of people out of the trip....especially in the 24-30 age group

Austin. Or another country. Strippers, blow, massages, and jet skis

The women will be doing their thing in Austin the same weekend. Dallas was an idea since it's not to far and I've heard about the strip clubs. And the fishing trip I'm sure would be a good time either way

anything on the gulf coast between Biloxi and Panama would be fun and within your budget

we are mostly 35+, it would eliminate at least one attendee. But the rest can make it (i think).

eta: I think the issue is not whether we can afford it is do we want to spend it on this friend. I would, but some of our friends are not alway super crazy about this guy. He gets fall down drunk pretty routinely. When I see him going this way, I bail on the event. But some of my friends end up babysitting him.

There is nothing you could add to this statement to make going to Biloxi, Mississippi the answer for the OP.

I can tell you that on any given weekend there are the dumbest and trashiest folks in the Union all around you in Biloxi.
