Just found a baby squirrel in my backyard. My 2 year old dobie/sheperd mix was licking on it. Seems to be uninjured; wondering if its been ostracized.

I've known friends who kept pet squirrels. Anyone willing to share knowledge on the subject would be appreciated.

Ill post some pics in a bit.

Give it a cool name. Start a go fund me for an enclosure. Post a few pics. Don't kill it.

You're welcome

When that thing realizes where it is and comes out of shock, it's going to freak out and do some skin damage to whoever is near it.

Hope it's not one of your kids.

What kind of pussy dog have you raised that won’t attack a squirrel?

Shunned. Squirrels typically do this to separate the weak offspring as homage to birds of prey.

My oldest daughter has one she found in her yard that fell out of the nest. It has the run of her house (and she has 11 cats.) The cats play with “Freddie,” and have never tried to harm him. She keeps him in a large cage at night.
