Because you don't like it? Seriously? I can bet you could throw some names out that people here would call redneck. Names are a matter of personal preference. They aren't "white trash" because YOU don't like them.

It's not just me. I think you are the only one in this thread that actually likes that name.
Everyone else on the OT thinks it is just a trashy name.
You are really mad about this though

Well, we don't constantly wish things could be the way they were 50 years ago-including people's names.
Because most of the Midwest is still like it was 50 years ago

They're so late on things. insane clown posse sticker on everything. The mall in Casper Wyoming had an areopostal, American eagle and buckle. That's the second largest city in the state. And becoming the largest population wise. The clubs (bars) plays nelly's country grammar, and boots with the fur and shite like that. It's like they got all their music from "now that's what I call music" 90's-2000.
I felt like I went back in time. This was a few months ago btw.

I will know the downfall of our society is upon us when I go to a souvenir shop on vacation and see souvenir keychains with "Brynlee" or "Braydyn" on it.
Cracker Barrel on I-20 and/or I-65 in Alabama will have these front and center.

You are really mad about this though Why are you so invested in taking up for that name?

It's sad he's just now realizing he gave his daughter a white trash name - hopefully the little future Denny's waitress grabs a better future for herself than her parents set her up for.

The Aborigines call him Jabba-Jahda-Ah-Der-Ahd, which means 'The Crocodile Who Walks Like a Man.'
I plan to employ this one due to the power it projects and its cultural significance.

That's very possible as the name is becoming more popular every year.
Popularity of the female name Brynlee
Year of birth Rank
2012 323
2011 378
2010 509
2009 680
2008 900
Note: Rank 1 is the most popular, rank 2 is the next most popular, and so forth.
Proof that society is becoming progressively trashier.

If I ever have a girl, she'll be Sally or Scarlett.
If I have a boy...I have no idea. Probably a family name, they're all traditional like Robert and John.

If you go with Scarlett might as well go with Rhett
ETA: years ago when I was in San Antonio I met a family who named their son Romeo and their daughter Juliet

Happy Spring Day and her brother Dusty Autumn Day went to high school with me, their parents were extreme hippies.(no shite)
There's a couple I know fostering a child (trying to adopt) his name ..... Stax Damoney Johnson.
My own kids all ended up with pretty common names that we thought weren't so common when we named them.

Naming a brother and sister after one of the most recognized couples in American literature...that's not odd at all.

As a black person, I have no words. This name is on Sharkeisha's level. The Randles need to kill themselves.
