I don’t want things to close. I just wanted people to stop acting like the virus disappeared here. Social distance, quit acting like toddlers and wear a mask in public.
The situation is kinda getting bad at hospitals around here. Staffing especially has become a huge issue. The numbers of beds you see that AZ still has open....doesn’t reflect beds that are staffed....just the actual physical beds.
Also....many ICUs here are making their nurses take 3-4 patients on vents due to staffing issues. They normally only have 1-2 ICU patients.

The virus will last about 5 seconds in a water park at 100° in AZ
None of this is based on science

At this point, shutting shite down is just government officials on a power trip.
Gyms have been open for almost two months here (LA). These rising cases occurred long after folks started going back to the gym.

Nothing builds up the immune system like a good old fashioned water park.

Really taking away from your tik tok and card playing time. What a tragedy.
Louisiana is considered an epicenter and I know multiple doctors being told to take time off because they don't have any work. This bed argument is a crock of shite. You love the attention and that's why you want to continue this nonsense.

Louisiana was an epicenter....not anymore. Not by a long shot.

Do some basic googling for AZ right now. You can find article after article about the bed issue here. Our ICUs for the state are at 85% capacity. Again....the max ICU capacity is based on physical ICU beds and not what can actually be staffed by nurses. Many hospitals going into surge mode now. They are filling up pediatric floors at children only hospitals here with adult patients now.

I'll be sure to get on the phone with JBE and let him know some nurse out in AZ says Louisiana is no longer an epicenter. I'm sure it's the vital information he has been waiting on.
Oooohhh. Scary. Weird that your Governor said otherwise while also saying they could easily expand capacity, but that it's "not needed or necessary."
Take your fear porn somewhere else.

This and wash your hands. leave everything open Putting people out of work for a virus that is not going to kill most healthy people is not the answer.
And from the people are stupid file. 67 yo male came in last night diagnosed with COVID on Friday, his wife brought him in for a fever. No other symptoms. Vitals unremarkable. Pulse Ox 98%. Tmax 103. On arrival 100.4
Me Did you take anything for your fever
Pt: Tylenol
Me what did it do.
Pt: It gets it down but it comes back in 5-6 hours.

We have fricking staff that are positive (and still supposed to be at home quarantined) and telling employee health they went to fricking brunch over this past weekend with 10 family members.
I’m really hoping it’s some lowly educated worker like EVS or a cafeteria worker and not a nurse that did that.

I was under the impression the biggest lesson learned from the first wave was that putting everyone who had low O2 sat on a vent was a mistake.
