I grew tired of the series after 5-6 books, but he was a great writer. RIP

This makes me kind of sad. I used to read his stuff in middle and high school and will still get an audiobook of his for long drives.

Same here. I got tired of Dirk getting out of situations after situation. You might get lucky once, but over and over got to be too much.
