Sure it does. Not nearly close to touching Denver and the surrounding area in that category though.

I vote Denver just for this reason. I've been twice in the last year to "scout" the area and if the right opportunity presented itself to me, I'd move there.

You wouldn't have to worry about finding somewhere for him to stay or someone to look after him if you wanted to go on a weekend ski trip or somewhere else.

This is true and something I have considered. I will be gone from the house a lot. The dog is probably better off with her at that point. Also, owning a pitbull is a major pain in the arse. The dog is as sweet and well behaved as can be but it seriously limits where you can rent

I just want to make sure he knows what Austin has to offer as well, that's all.

I LOVE dogs, but I could never have one right now or anytime in the future. I love being able to leave for a weekend trip on Friday afternoon spur of the moment.

Hell, even when I'm at home for weekends, I'll end up only being at my place from 3am until I wake up in the morning, then I'm out and about with friends or going out.

Are there any pay differences in the jobs between Austin and Denver?

Same pay but slightly better benefits in Denver. I would start off with 15 vacation days and really want to go to Europe this summer so that is a plus. Also 5k un-taxed for relocation to Denver and I am packing whatever fits in my SUV and hauling arse so most of that is pocketed

Tough choice. Austin is hipper, has better live music and better food.

Denver is Dallas with Mountains. Denver is way colder than Austin but better summers. Denver has better beer.

I could be happy either place. I also would look at Ft. Collins.

Do it, man.

I'm graduating with a masters in turfgrass science next December and will be looking at golf courses to work at up there. I'll get ya on at whatever badass course I end up at.

If you want to be able to visit relatively easy, then the answer is Austin.
