The only question I wanted to see answered was "eat arse?"

So did the cops somehow recognize him from the FedEx surveillance video? How did they develop him as a suspect?

Pretty sure they got him through the packaging labels he created.

How though? What did they use to trace him back? I’m always curious about stuff like that. How did they single him out of a city of a million people. Also, how did they track him to hotel? Was the dumbfrick using his cell phone?

If he printed them online, then it would be a matter of obtaining the IP and going from there.

He said witnesses spotted a person entering a FedEx store wearing a "crazy" disguise, including a blond wig and gloves, and called police. KEYE obtained pictures from surveillance video taken inside a South Austin FedEx Office store Sunday night, where the person shipped two suspicious packages. From there, investigators were able to track down his identity using cell phone phone pings and vehicle information, Abbott said.
Surely the feds could get every phone number pinging in the area when he was at fedex. Match that to the vehicle description. Got him.

They said cell phone. My guess was he used his phone to order the printing labels online, and then they traced his phone and found him in the hotel.
I'm curious if he got real sloppy ordering the labels out of being lazy, or he was nervous someone was going to see him drop them off?
I would assume if you used a burner phone and IP hider would they still be able to track this? I'm not that technically smart? But I also think this guy was likely hurting for money so maybe buying a burner smart phone was not an option?

Damn so without knowing your number, they can find which phones were in a given area at any time previously? I guess for some reason I thought that was only a live thing. Makes sense now that I think about it.
So he'd have had to use a burner phone, IP hider, and then tossed his phone immediately after buying the printing labels in order to not be found.

Well they can get every number in a certain area. But that’s not the order that things happened here. they knew who he was before they placed him in the area of the crimes using his phone.

I wonder if they have video of him getting in a vehicle out front as well.

I’m hearing NSA nailed this guy.

I question some of that article, for one it says red ford ranger and its an SUV he was caught in looks like a nissan or isuzu to me. So if those details are off, it makes me question what else wasn't thrown in as assumptions. These first articles are often times a bunch of BS.

You can buy one of these legally. M-79 grenade launcher. You have to pay a 200 dollar tax and go through a federal and local background check.
Also, every round, excluding training rounds, cost the price of the round plus 200 dollars per. The 200 dollar fee is for what gun laws call a destructive device.

Bingo,
I'm sure the packages that didn't explode had a sku that contains information on where and what time he dropped off the package. They get video of him, then they were able to follow him from his phone.

Probably a spoiled brat. I bet he was on some type of anti-depressant.
