MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) - Several universities in Alabama are moving all classes online as a precaution against coronavirus.
Alabama State University has decided to move class instruction online for the rest of the spring semester. A message from ASU President Quinton T. Ross, Jr., says after spring break students should not return to campus for face-to-face classes. Instead, online and other delivery methods will be used for students to complete their courses.
Troy University will transition all classes to alternative delivery platforms beginning March 16. In-person classes are scheduled to resume on April 6.
Troy’s residence halls will remain open for students who need housing, but students are encouraged to stay home.
Auburn University is moving all classes online until at least April 10. University officials ask that students refrain from returning to campus after spring break, and they will determine if students will return to campus for the remaining weeks of the spring semester.
