In coastal MS it's mainly Florida drivers that do this.

Amazing how many dumb arse drivers I see in Texas every day with out of state plates... especially Louisiana and California

It's funny. Driving west to I10. Texas drivers driving slow in left lane as a group
Driving toward Louisiana and its all Louisiana people doing it.

I’ve learned from my wife, it is (or used to be) legal in TX to pass on the right and/or shoulder - at least that is what they are taught in Texas
You can’t pass just to pass on the shoulder. You can pass if someone is slowing or stopping to make a left turn. You can also drive on the shoulder to allow a faster vehicle to pass. I’ve had many farmers do so for me.

It’s a law in Louisiana now. You can get a ticket.

When it’s Louisiana plates in Texas, it’s usually an oilfield worker or someone committing a crime.

I hate any slow driver in left lane but this is much more a Louisiana thing than Texas.
It’s not even close.

TD membership has a hard on for Texas drivers, but it's not been any different for any state I've lived in in the South. I also posit that the increase in drivers that have no idea where they are (DoorDash, etc.) has increased the amount of people staring at their phones trying to find their next ride increases this.
But there are a shitton of baws in 250s rolling in the passing lane screwing up traffic on I-10. And Teslas. Interesting mix.

It is always an old guy in a white ford with Texas plates. They'll park in the left lane doing 65.

What do you do? At least flash your lights? I know most of them don't pay any attention at all, but do you just sit there?

Hush! No one cares what your imaginary sister's husband says.

I am an older woman and a slow driver. I stay in the right lane as a courtesy to my fellow drivers. It is less stressful to stay to the right than to have someone driving 6 inches from my rear bumper
