In standard cartridges, the 10mm holds its own.
In magnum cartridges, the .460 is where it's at.

.460's bark is worse than its bite, 480 Ruger and 500 Linebaugh have a lot more recoil in terms of what you'll feel in the palm. .50AE is similar, lots of noise but it kicks a bit more than a .460 in normal form.

yeah the only indicator as to whether a gun is good or not definitely should be if you die while shot at by it.
