I wonder why he didn't stage his act in Home Depot's parking lot? Maybe he thought there'd be more people at the mall who would witness his "distress."
I'm starting to hate this fricking guy on the Scott Peterson level. I lived in the Bay Area when that was happening. It was so obvious to anyone without their head up their arse that something was wrong with his story after just a day or two. The fetus and part of Laci washed up about 5 or 6 weeks later near the Chevron refinery I was working at. I hope that guy burns in hell...

I don't understand how he could have planned this out so badly, he must be relatively smart but to go back and check your car, search that shite on the internet, doesn't make much sense at all.
He has to be at least smart enough to hold down a job it seems. All most makes me think he just snapped that morning for some unknown reason.

If he just "snapped" that morning, he would have killed them both at the house.
This guy is guilty of pre-meditated murder and I'd be willing to bet that his poorly thought out scheme involves another woman, if not his wife. My guess is that he was trying to "simplify" his life (with his wife), or start a "new" life (with his girlfriend).
I'm glad the weather is shitty here and DirecTV is out, so I don't feel compelled to turn on the news.

Would a dead body start smelling that bad in a matter of hours?

Approx. 6 hours.
In an oven.
At low heat (around 120 degrees).
What do you think?

She must be so heavily sedated right now that she can't talk to the media or else she was in on it.
I have grandchildren younger than this 22 mo old, if this were my son, I would kill anyone that was between him and me that tried to stop me from beating him to death.
It seems as the entire family is silent. Perhaps they knew he was capable of doing something like this?

Well, that would be the "thing" that didn't add up to the police.
Just a terrible story.
Poor baby.

If true I hope Ga has and is willing to use the DP
Posted on 6/25/14 at 8:07 pm to DawgCountry
Good.
Because if they didn't, I'm sure Texas would be more than willing to take him and put him in the express lane.
Cases like this are why I believe in the DP.

Amen. Child killers are the worst of the scum
Posted on 6/25/14 at 8:11 pm to GRITS79
Has anyone mentioned a life insurance policy on the child. I just cant think of any reason why the sorry SOB would do this. He might of had financial issues. But still

My theory:
Went out to car at lunch under the ruse of "putting something in the car" but with the hope that the child was dead. That way it wouldn't seem so long, and he could claim that he forgot and then found the child there while he was "putting something in his car." Think about it. If the child had been, nobody would be the wiser right now.
Child still alive. The guy is probably freaking out at this point because he knows security footage, or perhaps another employee, saw him check his car at lunch.
In a bout of sheer panic, he googles how long it takes an animal to die in a hot car, to make sure that the kid will, in fact, die by the time he gets off of work. To him, there's no turning back at this point.
Gets off work, and goes back to his car. In his mind, he has no choice but to get in and start driving in order to keep up his "I forgot" excuse. If he notices the kid in the Home Depot parking lot now, why wouldn't he have noticed when he "put something in his car" at lunch (security cam footage)?
Drives a bit, then decides he's gonna pull into a nice busy area and do his best to dramatize the scene.
Makes me sick thinking about it...
What I still don't freaking get is why he went to CFA. How in the frick do you plan a murder based on the premise of forgetting about your child and then feed them 10 minutes prior to "forgetting" them?
My best guess is that it was out of sheer guilt. Dude knew what he was about to do to that child. From what people have said about him, it's obvious that he's not a sociopath or psychopath. He felt empathy for the innocent child and guilt so he saw CFA as the kid's "last meal." He had to do something for the kid between leaving home and getting to work. I would be interested in seeing the receipt from CFA. Could the meal purchased for the child be described as "generous?"

Life insurance is the first thing that crossed my mind.
And fwiw, if I were the wife and I weren't in on it, I would be short a child and a husband right now.

I can buy this theory. Very thorough

Is it possible the dad is a dumb-"F"? I am not cutting him any slack, just thinking out loud.

God how awful. I have a 10.5 month old and I made sure to hug and kiss him good before I put him to bed tonight.

I don't think so. Not anymore.
When this story broke, I felt like a lot of people in that this was a terrible tragedy born out of a hectic, non-routine morning.
With the new evidence about CFA, him checking his car at lunch, and the possible google search, I can't buy the dumb-F theory any more.
