an ultimate higher power of good would condemn good people to eternal damnation simply for not "believing" in a higher power

It's demonic. Makes you wonder who the good guy in the story is.

If their is a god, he can sit on it and rotate.

Having lost most of my family there is too much pain and loss in this world/life for my liking. I was doing fine before I ever existed.

I think watching my mother die from cancer a few months ago has just strengthened this.

Better never to be born than suffer everlasting condemnation.

Not going to really weigh in on the topic, nor do I want to throw the thread into a poliboard shite show, but what you said up there would be the best argument for abortion anyone can make from a Christian perspective. That is the logical end of your line of thinking. Save all sinners from hell and get the good ones to their reward quicker. Yet somehow, I'd guess you are not pro choice.

If the Bible is to be taken literally, you're going to have a lot of executed murders and thugs hanging with you in heaven. If anything, a truly moral atheist would most likely end up in purgatory rather then hell.

In the context of everlasting life why does purgatory even matter?

Seems like an invented human construct placed on an idea we can't grasp
