Was wondering if it was just my phone or if there was an outage.

Verizon working just fine. Luckily, I was so sick of AT&T having huge gaps in coverage and not working on campus during games I switched my work phone to Verizon several years ago.

SOB's keep throwing up retail stores on every corner to sell more phones and don't spend a freaking dime improving their Infrastructure. I live near the corner of Bluebonnet and Highland and have to go outside to get a good enough signal to talk on the phone.

It's out for me too in Tara. My home alarm shutoff around 5 am with a signal issue. It runs off of the cell towers...

That's why I keep a landline. During Katrina, the landlines still worked for me.

Water impacts them just as much as it impacts everything else. I'm sure they got water and fried something.

True, the lessons learned from Katrina should have remedied this sort of thing happening. Biggest day for S&R operations and half the fleet has no service. Unacceptable
