Yea, you can tell in this thread who hasn't used Uber I've only had one bad driver out of the hundreds of rides I've taken.
You can really tell the people that think their experiences in life are universally experienced by others.

You;'re right, Uber is shite and made up of nothing but Muslims and my experience is the exception.

FWIW, I graduated high school a few years ago and have definitely heard some stories about creepy uber drivers.

Are you even following the thread? I was responding to a guy that generalized Uber drivers as jihadists.

Can you even do that? From the Uber terms:

quote:

The Service is not available for use by persons under the age of 18. You may not authorize third parties to use your Account, and you may not allow persons under the age of 18 to receive transportation or logistics services from Third Party Providers unless they are accompanied by you.

ETA: Never mind, I see someone already brought that up and someone responded that it's not enforced.

No, you referenced a broader group and used him as an example. But even then, he was obviously using hyberbole for effect.

There are plenty of examples of people that are talking out of their arse in this thread. I chose his because of it ridiculousness. Not sure what point you're trying to make here.

Go back and read my first post slowly then. My point is pretty obvious.

Uber is crap anyways, go with Lyft and make the round trip with her. Never a reason to let a 14yo boy or girl ride alone and against rules for taxi, Uber, and Lyft anyway without an adult.

Do you think most people are getting an experience different than mine? Anything to back that up?

Far different circumstances but two weeks ago we were at tailgate before the App game and my two daughters, age 15, and two of their friends came by, walked thru campus and downtown Boone, then 'Uber-ed' home.

I have no idea if most are, but I'm 100% certain some people are.
